Error - Cannot Load fp5Autl

When I publish a web, I get the following error after the site has been
published. Cannot Load "\fp5Autl.dll. Front Page shuts down visibaly and will
not restart. I have to physically end the process in the task manager. I am
running FrontPage 2000, Windows XP and Office 2003. i have found information
on cannot load fp4Ault and it has not been helpful. Can any one help me with
this?

fp5ault.dll is part of the FrontPage extensions.

Assuming you are publishing to a remote server, have your host run a server health check.

If you are publishing to IIS on your own machine, you need to repair the extensions by
going to Control Panel > Computer Management > Server Extensions Administrator.

Thanks Steve, I have contacted my site host and the problem seems bigger than
just that. I originally did not think this was part of the issue but I have
some forms on the site. When I go into the form properties on the site on my
hard drive, and then try to close out of the properties dialogue, I get an
error that Front Page server extensions have not been configured to send
email and that I need to install the Server Extensions Kit. I have tried to
find it on Microsoft and have also attempted to reload it from my frontpage
disk. Nothing is helping. I also tried to fix the extensions on my host
server and when I tried to open the web for editing on the web, I got the
same fp5Autl error. I have had my host uninstall and reinstall the front page
extensions and nothing changed. Do you have another idea?

The prompt you see when working on your disk based web is normal.
Ignore it, and don't remove the email address.

You then "must" publish your site using the http:// protocol and not FTP.

If you receive the fp5ault.dll when working on the server, it's an issue your host must
resolve.

As for extensions on your machine, you only need them if you have IIS installed and running
on a Windows 2000 Pro, Windows XP Pro or a machine running a version of windows server.
