Error: Cannot move objects off the page (Excel 2007)

I've done all the research and have done everything that was
suggested...(Ctrl+6 to unhide objects & comments; removing extra columns and
rows, etc). After this, I can insert a row but it is unbelievably slow to
insert and slow to save. When I go to view the objects so I can find and
remove them, the spreadsheet hangs up on me. I know there were hidden
objects from many years ago that caused problems and we worked through them.
I believe time and multiple upgrades over the years has caught up with us.
This spreadsheet is totally unworkable in Excel 2007. I'm not having this
issue with any of my other big and complicated spreadsheets in this version.
Any suggestions?

If you really mean Excel 2007, you are in the wrong forum. This one is for
Macintosh Excel. In any case, the reasons are probably the same. Make sure
that control-end takes you to the cell that YOU think should be at the
bottom right of the work sheet. If Excel thinks this is further down and to
the right than you do, you MUST DELETE the extra rows and columns. Highlight
al columns to the right of where you think the last cell should be and use
EDIT-DELETE, NOT the delete key. Then do the same for all rows below the
last cell.

If there are still invisible objects anchored to cells you may have to
delete them with VBA.
