Error: Can't Find Server

My Software Update program (OS X) has been attempting to contact the
Microsoft server for several weeks now to update to Office for Mac
11.2.6 but getting an error saying that it cannot connect to the
Microsoft server.

This morning I tried to update via the microsoft.com/mac download site
and got the same type of error:

Safari can't find the server.
Safari can't open the page
"http://download.microsoft.com/downl...b4c9-a4a56900c5fd/Office2004-1126UpdateEN.dmg"
because it can't find the server "download.microsoft.com".

I am able to connect to all other sites that I attempt to visit.

Any ideas on how to get the update?

There's something fishy in your configuration as I clicked the link in your
email, and the update downloaded immediately.
