error can't open

please could someone please tell me what this error means
server error cannot open file ".index.htm.tmp" for writting
I got this after trying to copy and paste from notepad meta tags for search
engines. Which I now have read are somewhat useless. everything was fine
ubtil I did that

rename index.htm.tmp to just index.htm and see if that helps

Thank you Berry I will try that again. I did try it once and it said cannot
save .I don't want to mess up my site it is too much work for an old gal
like me. I only was trying to add these meta tags as yesterday i recieved a
call from a company that wanted $1500.00 to do it for me because they said
without it my site would never been found in the search engines. I do not
want to give anyone that kind of money to do this so I thought I would do it
myself.

is an indication that you have run out of space (or there is insufficient
space left for FrontPage to work in) in your hosting package, or the disc
used for your website is full.
Check with your host.
