Error checking mail upon waking from sleep, after update

Entourage X 10.1.4.--- 3 Pop accounts being checked.

I have it set to check mail every 15 minutes for all three accounts. Since
the update, when I wake from sleep regardless of when it last checked, it
tries to check before fully awake and present an "connection error" for all
three accounts-- This is checking regular email, I have nothing set for
Exchange.

If, once the computer is awake, and the screen come on, I manual try to
check, it works fine. While running it never gives the errors.

Never had this problem before updating. Prior to updating, upon waking
Entourage would read the correct minutes left before checking --- say 11
minutes. This 11 minutes would be what it said when it went to sleep.

I have even tried to check mail right before putting computer to sleep and
it reads it will check in 14 minutes (for example) when it goes to sleep,
when I wake it, I get the error.

I appears that when it wakes, regardless of the time left when it went to
sleep, it just zooms right to checking and I must delete the errors e every
time I wake the computer.

Any ideas? Any more info you would want?

No problems with update, no real need I guess for update except for bug
fixes. I did not need anything with exchange portion of update.

Has anyone else experienced this? It is extremely annoying, and does appear
to be connected with the update.

I have reviewed all settings. Changed the time checking interval and nothing
seems to correct it. Any ideas.... Anyone/
