error code 0x800ccc92

im using outlook 2003 since November 2006, i never had any problem; but now
it's not downloading any e-mails. it shows error code 0x800ccc92 each time
send/recieve is processed. im using a pop3 account. all the settings are ok,
i've checked them many times but whenever send/recieve is processed, it opens
'enter network password' dialogue box. it's been 3 days now, i have tried
restarting outlook, restarting my pc and also tried deleting the account and
entering all the settings again. still problem exists. please help.

Go to your account properties and on the server settings on the Outgoing
Server tab configure the option "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires
authentication. If this option is already selected; disable it.
