ERROR CODE 1326

when i try to load office 2003 i keep getting an error code. the code is
1326 and states "error getting file security" How do i get beyond this point?

This stops all loading from this cd. Brand new cd from Microsoft.

What file is it getting the error on?

It is trying to remove and rewrite a file in the my documents. I am not sure
what else will trigger this error. If you need more information please
either reply here or directly to our e-mail

Can you list the complete error? Usually that error is followed with a
filename on which the security error is found.

Also, what version of Office 2003, and what operating system? Is this an
upgrade from a previous version of Office?

This is exactly what it says. This is an old set of files from prior to
reloading XP not sure if I should delete these files or where to go as this
was password protected at one point but now I have taken ownership of these
files.

installation of Office 2003 an upgrade from a previous version, and if so,
what version?

I'm trying to install FrontPage 2003, and I get the exact same erro
message

Error 1326. error getting file securit

I get error signature:

When I "view the contents of the error report" it lists these tw
files:

C:\DOCUME~1\NAME~1.NOD\LOCALS~1\Temp\Microsoft Office FrontPage 200
Setup(0011)_Task(0001).tx
C:\DOCUME~1\NAME~1.NOD\LOCALS~1\Temp\Microsoft Office FrontPage 200
Setup(0011).tx

... But these two files do not exist, so I can't provide thei
contents here

I get this exact error message whether I chose Upgrade or Full Instal
(or whatever) or whether I ask it to delete old versions or not. I'v
tried it every way.

Which raises another issue: I had previously uninstalled an ol
version of FrontPage 2000. Despite the fact that I've done that an
it does not (any longer) show up in my "add/remove programs" list, i
is still on the computer. I can find the directory where it still is
and run the program (even though I uninstalled it). Maybe this i
related.

Any help appreciated.

Add'l info: Windows XP Pro with latest service packs, upgrades (as o
this morning Aug23, 2005). I have Office XP Pro on this computer, i
that matters. Latest updates all installed within the past week
