Error code -199

Wonder whether anyone could help on this. Running Entourage from Office
2004 under OS X and when trying to attach a word document either by
drag and drop, adding attachement on from the drop down menus I get a
Unknown Error (-199) displayed. This was a problem under Office 11.1
and I have updated with the new office patch from Mid March and the
problems continue.

I have checked the error code listings and cannot find a reference to
this error. Also other word files attach correctly. There does not seem
to be anything significant roblems in the file names nor anything
unusual in the r/w or ownership priveleges of the files. I have tried
copying, saving as and renaming the files and attaching but still the
errors persist. When copied to an XP box running Outlook 2003 the files
attach and send fine.

Any ideas?

There is a Mac error code -199 which means, "Map inconsistent with
operation," which is about a clear as mud. However, it seems to suggest to
me that the problem is with this particular file. I'd try making a copy of
the file and see if the copy works, or open it in Word and do a Save As.

Thanks for that but unfortunately i have already tried "I have tried
copying, saving as and renaming the files and attaching but still the
errors persist."

My best guess is a r/w permissions or ownership issue but all the
attibutes appear the same.
