error code: 2026

We have been having some problems with our Project Server (2003) and last
night (on the advice of our service provider) the techies bounced the server.
This fixed the problem we had identified with the incorrect version of the
Schedule displayed in the Browser BUT just today I am having a problem when
updating the Enterprise Resource Pool (updating casts and/or other details).
I have been doing a lot of updates to these today - nothing new - we have a
number of projects using a LOT of resources - but every now and then (3 times
today) when I try to save a bunch of updates and close that window I get
"Project Server encountered a problem with this error code : 2026. Please
contact your Service Administrator." The changes I have made during the
update session HAVE been saved BUT the resources remain checked out to me.
The only way to uncheck them is to get the System Administrator to force a
checkin .. and now she isnt talking to me anymore! LOL
I have search the books, this forum and the Technet for this error code to
no avail. Any ideas??

How many resources is a LOT ?

Is your view process running on the same server as Project Server? If so,
consider shifting it onto it's on server.

We are the Program Office for several large Government Projects running over
a two year period. The Program Office Schedule alone includes 55 resources
with more coming and going all the time. Total resources in the Enterprise
Pool is currently at 184.

No, we don't run our view processing on a separate server but we are
currently planning an upgrade so will discuss that strategy with our supplier.

Thanks for the prompt response by the way :)
