Error Code 2902. I receive this code when trying to update Office.

I had removed my Microsoft Force Feedback 2 joystick from this machine; now,
Office 2003 will not update. I get the message: "Installation failed" and
Error Code 2902. Reattaching the joystick does not solve the problem. Does
anyone have a suggestion?
