Error Code 9415

I'm hoping someone has seen this message while trying to connect to Project
Server 2003 via Project Pro 2003. The message is:

An exception occurred in Project Server .
Project Server encountered a problem with this error code: 9415. Please
contact your server administrator.

I was accessing PS via Pro just fine. No identifiable changes have been
made to the server/PS or client/Pro.

FYI...I have administrative rights and can connect via PWA without a problem.

Thanks in advance!

FYI...We finally got past this problem. After rebooting the server, I
created an new administrators ID then Opened and resaved the Resource Pool.
All's well now!!!

We are having the exact same problem and would appreciate some mor
detail on how you fixed it. Where did you create the new account
Project or SQL? If it was in Project, how were you able to do tha
without being able to open a connection to the Project Server

After searching the web with Google, it looks like you and I are th
only ones that have ever had this problem. Microsoft has n
information related to it

We are also getting the following Event log errors generated wheneve
we get the 9415 erro

Hey johndickjr,

I felt there were other indications of the problem such as the eventlog
message you received, but, my current client does not such access! But to
answer your question, I just created another admin account in PWA; one which
was Project Server authenticated. With Project offline, I created another
account with the Project Server login name. After connecting, I just opened
and resave the global resource pool and problem was solved.

I hope this helps!

Just got the same problem. Everything was going well then the error was
returned. Once it started it was hard on for my id.

I could get to it as a Project Server authenticated user or a different
Windows Authenticated user (and open the project I was working on at the
time). My id could get to server through PWA.

Tried logging off my PC and back on - no joy.

I changed my userid to Project Server authenticated and was able to connect.

Changed it back to windows authenticated and was able to connect. Problem
had gone.

Weird!

You will also need to create the same account in Project Pro,
Tools-Enterprise Options - MOPS Accounts, exit and re-enter with the newly
created account.

fyi, MS has posted its workaround... http://www.kbalertz.com/kb_897768.aspx

Good Luck!
