error code 9573

I

Iris

I opened a project and received the following error message, "An exception
occurred in the Project Server. Project Server encountered a problem with
this error code: 9573. Please contact your server administrator."

Can someone please tell me what is error code 9573 and how can I fix it?

Thank you,

I am also experiencing this on our Project 2003 Server SP1. I have a project
that was causing spooler errors. I saved a copy on my local drive, deleted
the project from the server and reloaded it. No more spooler errors, but now
I am getting Error code 9573.

The event log is as follows:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: Microsoft Project Server Tracing Eventlog Provider
Event Category: None
Event ID: 2
Date: 8/24/2005
Time: 11:55:01 AM
User: NT AUTHORITY\LOCAL SERVICE
Computer:
Description:
Component: PDS
Line: 0
Error Number: 0x2565
Description:
CDataAccess.ParseSQLException;
-2147217873 : Cannot insert duplicate key row in object 'MSP_RES_SECURITY'
with unique index 'I_MSP_RES_SECURITY'.

Anyone familiar with this?

I have precisely this problem - same error message when the project is
opened, and same event log. I have found nothing on the internet, or on any
of the usergroups. If I find something I will let yous know.

John & Iris-
I was able to resolve this error. The issue and solution for me was as
follows:
My organization has a Generic Enterprise resource named Developer. Somehow
the PM created a local resource with the same name and both were part of his
project's team of resources. Both the local resource and the generic
enterprise resource had tasks assigned to them. Since the Developer
enterprise resource already appeared in the project, I could not swap
assignments between the local and generic. I ended up creating a new generic
enterprise resource named Developer 2, swapped it out with the local
Developer resource, then removed the local resource from the team. This
resolved the error.

So, I would go through each of the resources on your project and make sure
that none of the names listed in the "team" show up twice. Also make sure
that no deleted resources are listed. I hope this helps.
