After I install outlook2007 client in my winxp system, then do below action:
1), I configure the outlook server(the server vesion of my company is
before 2002) account.
2), create a new personal folders with a new pst data file in local.
3), configure the new personal as the default to receive new email from my
outlook server account.
4), when I try to receive new email from my outlook server account, below
error code received:
Task 'Microsoft Exchange Server - Receiving' reported error (0x80040102) :
'The requested operation cannot be performed on this account'
5), I recheck the my account in my outook server and find the new emails
already received in the inbox. It just can't not to be transfer to my local
personal folder.

Could somebody help me to check what's happened?
Best Regards.

I use an ost file. yet mail delivery will not happen. i get the same error

Outlook.)

A quickfix I'm using is to create a second folder called sync. Then using the
web interface moving all the mails to this folder and voila! Folder syncs.

Long work around. but it works. :)

Sorry to keep a running commentary on. I created a rule which dumps all in
coming mail into the Sync folder. So everything happens automatically at the
Client End.

Cheers

I try in the same way to use a rule to forward my exchange email account
inbox to my personal folder(pst) yesterday.
But it seems the rule can not runing automatically in exchange client.
I need to trigger to run the rules manually when needed.
Could you please tell me how to make the rule running automatically?
Best Regards.

It's work now.
The right configuration is :
1) set the inbox of your exchange server accoutnt as the default folder.
2) Create a new personal folder with PST data file.
3) Then add the rule to forward all the email received in your exhange
server account to the new PST data file folder.
Everything looks good.:)

There's no trick to getting a rule to run automatically other than enabling it in the Tools | Rules and Alerts dialog. If your rule is not running automatically, then you can send feedback to Microsoft with the Send a Smile tool from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=A2E1F4E2-BC0F-4403-B09F-7A677D55F274. This tool will transmit your comments and a screenshot back to Microsoft. For more information, see http://spaces.msn.com/turtleflock-ol2007/blog/cns!C1013F1F9A99E3D8!135.entry
