Error code number 3104

I am trying to run (print) a report that uses a series of
nested subreports to select a type of check sheet based on
a query.

The query works fine. The report opens and displays fine
but when I try to print I get multiple error messages
saying:

"can't open any more tables"
"Error 3014"

Anybody got any clues?

When the report opens there are no tables or queries
open. Only two forms (a main switchboard, and the report
printing form).
