Julie,
Thanks for the details. When you say Project 2003 I assume you mean MS Project Professional 2003. Project Standard of course, will not be able to connect to the server. And it won't have the Project Server Accounts application installed, ergo, my assumption.
There is known set of problems with MDAC not being up to date on the client machine. I've not experienced it personally - Gary Chevetz seems to know the situation intimately - Gary, wanna comment? If you're running XP-SP1 the MDAC version may not be up to date. Is there any specific reason that you haven't applied SP2 to this OS installation? Is everyone else that works OK also running XP-SP1?
If you want to find out more about the MDAC problem just do a search on this NG for "MDAC".

We run XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 1, Project 2003.
1. Added trusted sites to browser
2. Set up Project Server Accounts make the production server the default.
3. Open Project 2003 and get the error.
We don't get the error if my computer is the default sight. Obviously,
because it is not connecting to Server.
Tried uninstalling and reinstalling Project. Using the Detect and Repair
option from the application.

Julie,
If you've setup other users successfully you know that there are several areas where things can go wrong with connecting to project server. Could you be more specific about the following?
the client (OS ver, Project version) project server version, the exact context (what exactly is being attempted when the problem occurs) and corrective actions you've tried to resolve this - so we know what you've done and might be able to see problems with your attempted corrections.

When setting up a new user, after we have set up the project server account,
they get this error when opening PS: [Micorsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data
source name not found and no default driver specified.
We have sucessfully set up many people here and this is the only one having
this error. We tried uninstalling and reinstalling Project with no luck.
