Just recently a project started to prompt the project manager to sync with
actuals. When the PM says "Yes" MS-Project crashes. Suspecting corruption
we saved the project as an .mpp (Save As...) and deleted the project through
the PWA Admin (Cleanup Project Server). While deleting a
VBscript error occurred. Thinking the delete didn't complete we figured
we'd try it
again. But, the project doesn't show up... so maybe it did delete??
We now try to put the schedule back and we get an error that it already
exists.
Look in the database and its not in the MSP_WEB_PROJECTS table but is still
in the MSP_PROJECTS table. So, looks like I'm stuck in the middle of delete.
Question is, how do I clean up this mess? I could simply delete the entry in
the MSP_PROJECTS table but will that be enough? Or do I need to do a more
thorough scrubbing of the DB?
