Error - Dialog box open when double-clicking on .doc file

Every time I double click on an existing Word file, I get an error message
stating that I have a dialog box open. I have checked out several solutions
found by using Google and the error message but haven't found one that has
resolved this.

If you have Norton Anti Virus, disable the Office Plug-in option in NAV.

Dear Terry:

Thanks for the fix. It works great. Does anyone have any idea why this began
happening within the last week? I have not changed my Word or Norton's
settings, but this dialog box problem just started happening recently. Has
there been an update that caused this? I do quite a bit of coorespondence
with Word and wouldn't mind keeping the virus scan.
