Error during compact and repair database

Hi,

I can't seem to compact and repair my database anymore.
I keep getting an error after about a couple minutes into
compacting and repairing the database. My current
database is about 500 mb, it use to be around 250 mb when
the compact and repair function was working properly.
Has anybody encountered this problem. Need help
immediately. Email me at jimmy@cpdreports if you might
