error during installing Visio 2007 beta (did not find all files)

I paid and downloaded a Visio 2007 beta file (OVP-EN.EXE, 280 Mb).

The install process starts normally, I am prompted with options, it
goes well until the blue progress bar reaches about 60%. Then it stops
with "Error 1706. Setup cannot find the required files. Check your
connection to the network, or CD-ROM drive. ...".

The downloaded .exe file expands to the user temp file. The expanded
target directory appears to be ok (it resembles like a CD, with
setup.exe, autorun.inf, etc. files).
I am running with administrator privileges.
