Error during Office 2003 Pro Installation - Req. disk with data2.m

Hello. I recently upgraded a PC with XP and attempted to upgrade Office Pro
2000 to Office Pro 2003. Installation paused and message said to insert disk
with data2.msi. After research I determined that this referred to the Office
Pro 2000 original disks which I no longer have. Any ideas on a work around?

I rebooted and attempted to uninstall but error message stated that another
installation was already in process.

Thanks in advance. CW

Nope. If you do not have the media of the QP then you are not entitlied to
use the upgrade. What would you do if you ever needed to reformat?

No - QP, no upgrade. If you want 2003 you'll have to purchase the full
licence.

Let me claify. I do not have the original install disks for the previous
2000 version. I have the full licensed version of the 2003 Pro that I was
installing at the time of the error message with COA and Product Key. Thx.

If you no longer need any of the additional programs that may have been
installed with Office 2000 and not included with Office 2003, then remove
them under Add/Remove programs from Control Panel. Items such as Front Page
and/or PhotoDraw for instance.
