Error "Excel cannot complete this task ..."

Quite often errors are generated when the temp directory
gets clogged full of useless files. Excel has a very bad
habit of leaving its temp files kicking around and for
some reason tries to make use of them, even though they
are not useful.

Reboot then open Windows Explorer and go to C:\Documents
and Settings\{UserName}\Local Settings\Temp (or enter %
temp% in the address bar). Delete EVERYTHING in this
folder. This may clear up the error. Even if it doesn't,
make a habit of clearing the temp folder periodically
because it will speed up Excel.
