Error importing contacts into existing table

Using Access 2003 and Outlook 2003

Trying to import existing contacts from Outlook into an existing table of
contacts in Access.

I tried the following: File/Import/(File type Outlook)/contacts/next/in an
existing table (my table)/ next / finish

Then I get the following error "An error ocurred trying to import file
'Contacts'. The file was not imported."

Do I have to import into seperate file and then copy and paste into existing
file (and do I need to make sure all the columns are the same?

Yes, the columns need to be the same. The easiest way to make that happen is
to export from Outlook the first time. Doing that will automatically create
all the proper fields. After you have the table structure defined, it
becomes easy to use it to import Outlook into Access.
