Error in Access 2007

I am trying to convert a 2003 Access db to a 2007 Access db. The conversion runs fine but when I try to open the application it gives me the error: "is not a valid Win32 Application".

An Access database is not an application. Access is, but not the database
file. Exactly how are you opening Access and the database file?
