Error in Access '97!!!

Rick

We currently have an application that was written
specifically for us in Access. Now I just installed Access
97 on a W2k pc, and generally all I have to do is put a
copy of the application on the system to. However this
time when you click on the application, which is an mdb
file, Access opens and comes back with an error which
states " You tried to use the OpenModule action or
method, but Microsoft Access can't find the module you
specified in the Module Name argument. Enter a valid
module name from the current database ". Now why would it
be looking for a module and pointing to an mdb file? If I
open Access first, then navigate to this mdb file, it
opens up perfectly. Does anyone have any Ideas? I am
really at a loss here. This is the first time I have
installed it on a Win2k machine, However, I have done it
on XP. If any one has any input, I would appreciate it.

Thanks

Since the mdb opens fine from inside Access but not when you double-click it
in My Computer, it sounds as if there is a problem with the file association
for MDB.

You may be able to fix that from My Computer | Tools | Folder Options | File
Types.

Alternatively, re-installing Office/Access might fix the association.
