error in installation of Project Server 2007

im trying to install project server 2007 but i keep getting an error
".NET framework initialization error - unable to find a version of the
runtime to run this application." i have successfully installed .NET
3.0 so i am unsure what this error message refers to.. I am using all
the same software i have used in the past, so i really don't
understand why i am now getting error messages. can someone help,
pls?? thanks.

Have the ASP extensions been enabled in IIS.

also try re-registering the framework by running the following from the
command line: C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_regiis -i
