I have created some Enterprise Task custom date and cost fields. They are
used with a custom reporting application. I am not using the Start and Finsih
or baseline fields for these because I want them independent of automatic
recalculation.
The three custom cost fields are for budget, forecast and expenditure to
date; and the two date fields are for planned start and finish of their
tasks.
No formulas are used; the values are edited by manual entry.
I set the summary tasks to rollup, by sum for $ and max or min as
appropriate for dates. However, they give an error #ERROR in rollup.
As I was writing this to ask for help I thought to try whether the null
values were doing it. I typed 0 into one cost field and hit enter, and every
error in the field vanished. I cleared the NA in one date field, hit enter
and those errors vanished from that field too.
Great - no help needed - it works now!
