ERROR in template handling (for MS Developers)

Simple, correction required.

Error description:
If in a word document a template called C:\dirA\MyDOT.DOT
is referenced and I try to make a new reference to a
template with the same name but in another directory word
ignores the new directory as long as the template name is
the same.
I don't understand way the first used template is stored
in the document also if I change the reference.

I don't need a work around I need a correct version of
word.

It looks like you posted in the Wrong newsgroup... No such thing as a C
drive on my Mac ;-)))))

MAC.... Unfortunately I use a PC. I have moved the
