Error installing MS Pub 2002

I'm trying to install MS Pub 2002 but I keep getting an error that says"
..... cannot open registry key unknown/msohelp.htmlhelp\CLSID" Error 1402

I installed this software once on my desktop computer with no problems but
I'm switching to a laptop and want to install and transfer my data before
deleting it from the desktop. This is not OEM software. I'm running XP on
the desktop and XP Professional on the laptop. I thought my Grisoft AVG
antivirus software might be interfering with the install but I got the same
message after turning it off.

Any ideas?

Thanks Mary.... those warnings about using the Clean Up Utility kinda scared
me away. I'm not a newbie but it sounds like this could cause me some
serious repair work if the clean up utility does it's job. I may have to
try that as a last resort but for now I'll keep looking for another
solution. I appreciate your time and effort!

The CleanUp utility only cleans up installer problems. None of your data is
changed. You will need your product key when you re-install.
Download and run Belarc, the product keys are in the report Belarc generates.
