Error log won't clear

Error log won't clear even after going thru and deleting all errors. They just reappear and I get that annoying beep going off over and over again. What's the cure?

Is this in the Console? I would try running Repair Permissions from Disk
Utility, or find the .plist file and delete it.

Next step would be to run the latest Apple combo updater to fix the problem.

I thought Peter was referring to the Error Log in Entourage itself --
Window -> Error Log (or cmd-8). I've never had the symptom that Peter
describes; the Error Log clears after Deleting all errors.

Peter, have you checked the time-stamps on the errors to make sure that
these are reappearances of the original error messages and NOT reoccurrences
of the errors that caused the messages (and are thus causing new messages)?
