error log

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Email Client: imap my error log keeps showing:

5.1.2 or other punctuation after the recipient's email address. f8sm40017510wbe.5 - Mail could not be sent

What does this mean and how do i rectify it?

Sharon,

Error 5.1.2 - SMTP; 550 Host unknown. An error is triggered when the host name can't be found.

Recommend typing the full address of the person you are sending to. this will validate its not a cached name on the system. Also test from a different mail provider to test the email address is valid.
