Error Meesage: Time Out No Response From POP Server

I have Outlook 2003. Outlook worked fine until last Tuesday. Now I can not
receive or send messages. I get error message that the operation times out
waiting for a response from the receiving (POP) server. I have no idea what
to do.

If you use a virus scanner that integrates with Outlook disable this
integration and try again.

Spysweeper jus came out with a new update that requests that you add ports
for email. I found out this is not compatible with Outlook (all versions I
believe)

I have Norton and ended up disabling two parts of it and again have e-mail.
