error message 0x800ccc80

After moving to Outlook 2007 from 2003, I get the following error message
when attempting to send e-mail.

Task 'mail.bellsouth.net - Sending' reported error (0X800CCC80) : 'None of
the authentication methods supported by this client are supported by your
server.'

Please suggest an easy to follow fix.
