Error message: 16 bit Windows Subsystem

When I attempt to install an application with a CD ROM the following message
appears:
16 bit Windows Subsystem
C:\PROGRA~1\Symantec\532EVNT1.DLL. An installable Virtual Device Driver
failed Dll initialization. Choose "Close" to terminate the application.

Hi sandteddy,

I take it you're trying to install part of the MS Office package. In light of the message you posted, I'd suggest that you try
disabling/exiting any Symatec programs first (eg Norton Anti-Virus).
