error message 2908 when installing microsoft office 2003

I recently had my computer fixed. Microsoft 2002 was installed on it. I am
trying to install microsoft office 2003 and even tried to install 2007 and
received this error.

Error2908: Internal error has occured. It then shows a registry field.

Help please to resolve this issue!!!
