Error Message -3280 when sending & forwarding e-mail

I often get an -3280 error message when trying to send or forward e-
mail. When sending a message the cursor jjust whirs and whirs and
eventually the -3280 error message appears. Anyone have experience
with this or know how to fix this so that I can send out and forward e-
mail.
