Error message after opening a word document from windows explorer

Hello,
Does anyone know the above mentioned problem? According to the error
messages dialoque windows are opened and must be shut before continuing.
However there are no dialogue windows opened. When clicking on OK Word
starts as usual. So, it's not exactly critical but it's annoying.
Because I own a OEM version MS will only support after payment (? 25 for a
start and after that 10 eurocents a minute).
My reseller will help me, but that means that I will not be able to use my
computer for a couple of days. I depend on it for company sake.
The MS KB 'knows' the problem (in Word 2002) but gives no solutions (weird
though). Google didn't give an advice either.
It concerns Office SBE 2003 and windows xp pro.
