Error message - cannot open Msysaccounts table

We have upgraded from 97 to 2000 and have a problem that
we cannot open the database. We have an error message not
able to open Msysaccounts in work group information file.
Does any one know how to solve in simple terms.

The simplest is to unsecure in 97, convert to 2000 and resecure using 2000.

The following worked for me when I had the same problem:
1) Open the *.mda file.
2) Choose tools, Database utilities, Convert database to Access 2000
format.
3) Save the file as something.mdw (or whatever your mda file was named).
4) Open your converted Access 2000 database.
5) Choose Tools, Security, Workgroup Administrtor.
6) Select join and browse to your newly converted .mdw file.
7) Click OK.
