Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

Can anyone help me? Every time I open an Microsoft program I get an error message that comes up titled Microsoft Error Reporting. It doesn't seem to send but I can't figure out why it worked for a short while after I installed the program and all of a sudden I can't open Word, Excel, etc.
Any advice would be great!

What is displayed when you click on the More Information button of the Microsoft Error Reporting?

You have not specified your Update Level, and that may well be what is
wrong.

Download the latest 12.2.0 Service Pack from here:
https://www.microsoft.com/mac/downloads.mspx?pid=Mactopia_Office2008&fid=300
133BB-B5F7-4946-BB7B-B0C6C6D6E28C#viewer

Then pick up the 12.2.1 update that fixes a bug in the service pack, and
apply both.

You should be good to go after that.
