Error message during install of office beta

L

LenH

I am trying to install the beta on a Win XP SP2 Machine. The install is
being done on a second partition (H: drive) of my primary hard drive. I used
the custom install option to set the install to the H: dirve. I get the
following error message when the progress bar hits about 25%:

Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2007 (Beta) encountered an error during
setup.

No error message number or any other assistance is displayed and the only
choice is to close the install.

Any ideas?

Check for multilple versions of Office under add/remove programs. Also
generate a verbose log d:\setup.exe /l*v c:\setup.txt The log file might
give some ideas.
But be prepared for issues that come up when installing Beta software
