Error Message for Office Docs

When I attempt to open an office doc, whether it be Word,
Excel, etc etc, I am recieving an error message which
reads:
"The program associated with the selected template cannot
be started, or the program cannot use the selected
template"

Then, I cannot open the doc from that location. To
accesss my files, I need to open word/excel/whatever and
then open the docs. Then, it will not allow me to save
any changes.

Any help please would be appreciated. I have seen a fix
for this error message but it only applies to Excel.

Hi Steve,

Try recreating the file associations. Go to Start/Run and run:

winword /r
excel /regserver
powpnt /regserver
msaccess /regserver

Note the space before the forward slash.
