Error message in a table

A message has appeared while keying in data to a table "not a valid bookmark"
and four records have changed from the data I had keyed to the word Error in
each field. Does anyone know why this is happening and what I can do to fix
it? This is not the first time it has happened to me or my students and no
one here has been able to help me. Access 2007 with Vista
