error message in Office 2004 (newly installed)

I have just bought and installed Office 2004 (German version) on my MacBook Pro, and I get an error message each time I open one of the applications: an unexpected error in the framework library. I reinstalled the software but get the same result. I woulod appreciate any help!

Reinstalling almost never solves anything unless you first uninstall
using the Remove Office application.

That said, a framework error occurs when there's been a problem with an
update and there are components from multiple/conflicting updates
installed. Try downloading the 11.3.5 through 11.3.9 updates from
MacTopia and reapply them in sequence.
