Error Message in Project Professional

We have Project Server 2007.

Starting this week, we have started receiving the following error when
couple of the PMs click 'File/Close' to close their projects in project
professional.

The error dialog box says: 'File not found'. If we click 'ok'. It asks to
check-in the project and then the project is fine.

This error appears randomly. What could be the cause of this error? We have
not made any changes.

Please adivse. Thanks!

Annum,
I may be wrong here, but if this only happens to some Projects could it be
that the project was somehow linked to another external project? or did the
schedule contain a file wihtin the notes?
If so, I could imagine that this may be the cause.
Hope this helps

Hi Marc,

The project is not linked to another external project. Unless by saving it
external under another name can impact it. We do this often for
clients….Save as a file on hard drives by another name.

Please advise. Thanks!

hi Anum,

that is fine. You can always save a project as a file. I wish I could tell
you why, but I havent come accross this issue before.
sorry
