I am operating VISTA Ultimate 32, & MS Office Pro 2007.
I have not activated Outlook 2007 as I choose to run Outlook 2003.
After I installed OL 2003 (from the full 2003 Pro Suite - custom install
Outlook only) and attempted to run it I got this message:
Cannot start OL MAPI32.DLL is corrupt or the wrong version. This may be
caused by installing other messaging software.
After the installation I went thru Programs & Features - MS 2007 and OL was
marked as unavailable. This is fine as I know that 2 versions of OL cannot
be run at the same time. Checking out OL 2003 thru Programs & Features only
OL is checked. I did try reinstalling. No change. I have uninstalled and
reinstalled - same message.
Under All Programs OL 2003 is listed, as is OL 2007 (as noted OL 2007 in
unavailable).
FYI: I do not use OL for e-mail.
What does this mean? Is there a way around this? Please use as simple an
explanation, directions and terms as possible.
Thank you for any assistance you can provide.
