error message is preventing machine from entering standby -it says

How and where do i go to get this update. I have been dealing with this
error for a long time. I have tried several times before to find an answer
but no luck. By the way, i think that i was in the windows update center and
somehow i got directed to what it looks like Microsoft office forum. Sorry,
but i had to ask anyway... Can someone direct me to the right resource.

Thank you Mary. I did the download and after i re-installed it, my computer
locked up with an error and it did a "phyisical dump" I rebooted and
everything seem find. I changed my setting so the computer would go into
standby mode after one minute. This time the error came up but it said the
Device driver for the communications Port (COM1) is preventing the machine
from entering standby. I found out where to do a test on my drivers and it
said COM1 was working properly just as it said my modem was properly. I am
kind of afraid to try anything else right know unless you or anyone else has
a suggestion. Right now i think i will just disable the standby. thank you

Might ask about this on a Windows newsgroup. There is a specific newsgroup for
