Error Message :no more fonts may be applied to this workbook"

I have a very small excel file (492kb). It has several
worksheets with data for small trend charts. I'm getting
and error message "no more fonts may be applied to this
workbook" every time I want to reformat the chart. The
next message is "this program cannon be closed. if it is
debugged, please resume it or close the debugger first'.

This is crazy. It's such a small file, yet 1 I use every
month to update trend info.

Is there a solution?
