This is more of an irritation than a serious problem. I recently purchased
a new computer and used a program called "AlohaBob PC Relocator" to transfer
all my files, including program files, from my old Windows 98 computer to my
new Windows XP computer. Now when I open any Excel file, or just open Excel
from the program menu, I get the following error message:
'C:\Program Files\Add-ins\addinmgr.xla' could not be found. Check the
spelling of the file name, and verify that the file location is correct. If
you are trying to open the file from your list of most recently used files
on the File menu, make sure that the file has not been renamed, moved, or
deleted.
I can click the OK button and proceed to work as usual, but I would like to
stop this error message from appearing at all. It happens only when opening
Excel or an Excel file. All other MS Office programs open without any error
messages. I'm using Excel 97. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
