error message: object corrupt and no longer available

I use embedded excel objects in Word. After working in them and closing the
object, when reopening I am getting the error message: object corrupt and no
longer available.
This has just started to happen. I uninstalled office 2003 and reloaded, but
the problem has not gone away. I checked the knowledge base and there is an
article referring to a problem with Norton Anti-virus, but I use Mcaffee

Peter,

Have you recently installed ACT from Sage software? I just posted a reply
to my own thread where I was getting the same error. ACT was the culprit and
there is an advertised fix.
