Error message: Office XP Pro: Outlook: Unable to open...

Freshly installed Office XP Pro. When opening Outlook I get an error message
"Unable to open your default e-mail browser. Could not open the item. Try
again."

When I select to look at my "Default file system folder" it takes me to My
Computer.

Then when I try and open a new calendar it prompts me with a new error
message. "Could not open item. Try again."

Any suggestions...

Running Windows XP SP2
Tried downloading the updates for Office XP Pro SP3 and it didnt do a thing
to help.
