Error message on exiting database

On exiting a database, the following message and description have begun to
appear:

Table 'TempMSysAccessObjects' already exists

Table <name> already exists. (Error 3010)
You tried to create or rename a table with a name that already exists in
this database. Choose another name, and then try the operation again.

There are no duplicate tables and I havent made any significant changes
lately, any idea on the cause and solution would be helpful...

You probably have a corrupt system table. I suggest building a new empty
database and importing all your objects into it.
